Stan Bowles Calendar 2021/22 season

Posted by on Aug 2, 2021 in Gallery | 0 comments

First of many pictures from the Stan Bowles Calendar Alzheimers Research Fundraiser. We will try to get them put up on here for those people who aren’t on facebook and twitter. That’s a nice bag on the table by the way – could be a good flag bag!

I’ll try to put as many of the photos on here as possible. I’m sure Dave will get some famous faces throughout the season, and raise money for a great cause at the same time. Anyone who has spare time to help out, please get in touch. Many hands make light work.

Shame the table got in the way of the branch flag in full glory.

Somercotes photo mission

Posted by on Oct 30, 2016 in Gallery | 0 comments

The Somercotes branch photo mission ( Derby away 15th October 2016) finally resulted in some decent group pictures. It took a little bit of time to organise everyone to be facing the same way for a start, however, persistence prevailed and here are the results of the photoshoot. The branch flag in a rare outing, is still going strong and looked good at 11.30am on a cold, misty, autumn morning, the same cannot be said for some of the branch members! Included in the picture are members from the Ripon LUSC, who travel with us on a regular basis. Some of the members even managed not to have a drink in their hands for at least 5 minutes, so not a bad effort at all on their part.

Our thanks have to go to Mandy and all the staff at The Crown Inn, Somercotes, as well as the neighbours of said pub, who were treated to an impromptu and lively version of Marching On Together.

Away Day excuse

Posted by on Sep 5, 2016 in Gallery | 0 comments

The prize for the best excuse for not turning up for the bus to an away game 2015-16 season goes to Mr Mark Caulfield.

The St Georges’ Day trip to Hull last season, was missed due to Kasia inconveniently breaking her waters at 6am, needless to say Mark would have made it to the stand on time to see us draw 2-2 and Woods missing a penalty, but chose to hear the cries of Tiaa rather than “Tigers Tigers ra ra ra”.

Belated congratulations to Mark and Kasia, and here is Tiaa making her debut with the Harrogatewhites. Thanks to Mark for the photo, and it won’t be long before Tiaa joins her big sister Isla on the bus.
