Chairman Charley’s adventures on the South Coast in sunny Bournemouth last week.
Just a few pictures from a trip down to sunny Bournemouth. It was a shame to go all that way and not see the sea after all. Here’s the sea and beach for those who couldn’t make it. Looking a lot less crowded than it did in 1990.
Unfortunately the day was spoilt somewhat by our 2-0 defeat but, Bournemouth were unbeaten in 6 and realistically were on a bit of a roll. Bit of a blunder by Trafford, after DCL’s goal was ruled handball by VAR. DCL was running in, the ball was bouncing everywhere, it could have rebounded off anywhere else but his shoulder. Lady Luck was not with us that day.
Lobsters and Me Gustas
After a very successful trip last year to the Sexy Lobster bar, the Chairman decided to continue with his crustacean themed travels. This time, the selection? The Noisy Lobster. Charley’s extensive knowledge of the Spanish language (courtesy of Dua Lipa – Me gustas chao) impressed the bar staff , while enjoying a nice chat with the locals and a very nice Peroni. The Chairman received an invite to the Bonfire display a few days later, but had to sadly decline. The excuse that it would be a bit of a long trip back to see the fireworks was understood once he told them he was from Harrogate. The food was excellent, delicious and tasty

Re enactment of 1990 or King Canute?
To finish off, here’s some video highlights. Firstly Chairman Charley’s geography prowess, identifying the Isle of Wight and The Needles.
Secondly, either a re enactment of an infamous trip to Bournemouth which led to excruciating sunburn (still has the scars to this day) or The Chairman achieving what King Canute failed.
Master of the tides. Roll on next season (if we are in the same league) and let’s see where the next Chairman Charley Lobster hunt will take us. On On On!
